So saddened today to hear of Colleen's passing. We grew up together across the street from infancy through high school. Oh the fun we had and the spats we had as little girls do. But we always made up and there was always more fun to be had. From the sleep overs, to the backyard movie making with her cousin, Greg Boyd, and to the soup in their dining room while mom was at work! Oh how can I forget the chopped olive sandwiches that she loved and I hated! My mind wanders back to the 60's. Going to the airport with my friends to see the Beatles arrive! Colleen always had the latest info on who's who and I could have cared less! Still seeing her in my mind's eye the black cape she wore to high school and the "hippy" she was. She had the perfectly straight hair and me the natural waves. Oh I wanted her hair so bad!!!! How I wish we could have talked this last couple of years but we did connect 2 Christmases ago and with her being so busy with her family and me with mine, we agreed to connect after the holidays. It didn't happen but she will always hold a special spot in my memory as one of my best friends. Heck she planned the party that introduced me to my high school boyfriend /college sweetheart/first love who to this day when I think of him I think of Colleen. God Bless Your loved ones Colleen. I know you are watching over them like an angel forever. I love angels too

So surprised to hear of Colleen's passing. We went to the Beatles concerts together in San Francisco in the 60s. She was my "across the street" neighbor and friend. My condolences to her sisters Pat and Erin and all the family.

I learned of Colleen's passing from Glenn and it still seems unreal. I am so very sorry for your loss of a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and friend to all. I met Colleen in the 90's when I hired her to work at Federated Systems Group (within Macy's). She, Glenn, Melissa Nelsen and I conducted all of the training for the Macy's organization. But more than that, Colleen, being a "local", helped us integrate to Cali living. She hosted us at her home in the east bay and then Sonoma. In fact, we helped her move to her lovely Glen Ellen home with beloved and crazy Cassinova. I remember Colleen as ALWAYS smiling and happy and having an incredible laugh. In fact, I can hear it now as I type this. She was gracious always to everyone. I can only imagine the whole that will be left where Colleen once filled. I hope to attend the service this Friday.
Warm thoughts to all of you,
Pam Waddington

Dear Gene, I did not have the opportunity to meet Colleen in person. But by the way you always used to talk about her I was able to know of her. A beautiful soul with so much life. I could tell the joy she brought to you by how your eyes would light up when you mentioned her. Bless You- Chris C.
