Eliza "Chama" Modesta (Valdez) Boles

Eliza “Chama” Modesta Valdez Boles, 95 years young, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2017 at home in Sonoma, Ca.

Eliza (Chama) is survived by son Mike (Cate), 4 grand-children Blaize (Tiffany), Shea, Trey, and Reece. She was blessed with 3 great grand-children Raine, Brevan, and True. Her grand-children and great grand-children were her life. She cherished every moment with them.

Eliza was born on March 22, 1922 in Park View, New Mexico. She is one of nine children born to Adolfo and Gregorita Valdez.  Her youngest sister Connie (Eutimio) lives in Morrison, Co. Eliza will be reunited with her parents, brothers Adolfo, Ben, Juan, Ray, Al (Poncho), and sisters Odila and Lucy.

She is loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She welcomed all to her table.

Eliza’s journey was faith based and she was a long time parishioner of St. Francis Solano. She often prayed the rosary.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Francis Solano School.

The viewing is 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 27, 2017. The Rosary Vigil will begin at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Duggan’s Mission Chapel, 525 W Napa St, Sonoma, CA 95476.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at St. Francis Solano Church. The church is located at 469 3rd St W, Sonoma, CA 95476.

Graveside committal services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 1500 Mission Road, Colma, CA 94014.
