Yvonne Mae Stieper

Yvonne Mae Stieper passed peacefully in her home on November 28, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born on February 20, 1939, in San Francisco, California, to Ethel Mae Porter. 

Yvonne was an amazing wife, mom, Noni, great-Noni, sister, and friend. She was deeply loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love for life—and for her family—was unmatched. 

Yvonne is survived by her husband, Kenneth; her daughters, Christine and Dianna (Brad); her grandchildren, Joshua and Karissa (Saul); her great-grandchildren, Saul “Jr.” and Gianni; her siblings, Mike (Kathy) and Jimmy (Stephanie); and her beloved Cheri Amor. 

Yvonne enjoyed a successful career in the hotel and travel industry and later retired from Sonoma Pins, where she thrived in sales and took great pride in being an active part of her local community. 

A world traveler, Yvonne embraced new cultures with curiosity and joy. She had a passion for education and was always eager to learn something new. She was also a proud member of the Jazz Society in Sonoma, California, often attending many jazz events. Yvonne was very active and social, spending many happy days playing golf and bocce with dear friends. She nurtured a beautiful garden, often tending to it while listening to jazz and savoring every moment.  

Yvonne was a fierce, vibrant, and, of course, fabulous woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. She began each day with positivity, ready to embrace whatever it held, always wearing her beautiful smile. That same smile could light up any room and bring joy to all around her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her, and her strength, warmth, and spirit will live on forever in their hearts and memories.

A Celebration of Life will follow from 1:30–4:30 PM at Temelec Hall, 220 Temelec Circle, Sonoma, CA 95476.
