Warren Karl Mak, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and
community member, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024, at the age of 98.
Born on July 31, 1926, to Carl and Selma Mak, Warren lived a full and impactful life
devoted to his family, his country, and his community.
Upon graduating from high school, Warren enlisted in the United States Navy where he
served his tour during the Pacific Campaign of World War II. Following his military
service, Warren attended San Jose State University, majoring in electrical engineering,
after which he began his lifelong career with PG&E, retiring in 1985.
Warren loved his community and dedicated himself to serving it. He was a member of the
Glen Ellen Volunteer Fire Department and a passionate supporter of the Boy Scouts of
America. He served as Cub Scout Master of Pack 63 and as Scout Master of Troop 40 and
was a Mason with Masonic Lodge #14.
After retiring, Warren enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He could often be found
visiting Bob Norrbom’s Garage, sharing coffee, stories, and lending a hand. He also
loved cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events, always a proud supporter
from the sidelines.
Warren is survived by his children, Warren "Randy" (Charmagne), Candy Weitzel (John),
and Glen (Teak); his eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; several nieces
and nephews; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma, and
his brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Betty Mak.
