REYNOLDS, THOMAS DRURY
Passed away in Sonoma, August 26, 2024. Born in Oakland, on September 29, 1924 to William and Alpha Reynolds. He attended Technical High School in Oakland and City College of San Francisco. He was drafted in the army in April 1943, basic training at Fort Knox, KY, Joined the second armored division “Hell on Wheels” in Tidworht, England in November 1943. Landed Omaha Beach on June 9, 1944. Was in several major battles including the “Bulge” through the entire European theater of operaton. He was honorably discharged in November 1945. He retired from PG&E in March 1985 after 35 years of service. He married Carol Ann Jones Reynolds in 1948 and was married to her until her death in 2010. He enjoyed many outdoor sports, fly fishing, snow skiing, back packing, golf, tennis, traveled the western states and Canada snow skiing in the winter and fly fishing in the summer. He golfed well into his 80’s. He was the brother of William Reynolds, and uncle of Stephen & Christopher Reynolds and Sherron Hanna. Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery, Mississippi. At his request, no services will be held.
