Sharon Marie Whiteman passed away on August 27, 2020 in her home after a two year battle with cancer. She was born on June 1, 1961 in Sonoma where she ultimately spent her life raising her children with the love of her life - Rod Whiteman.
Sharon was a registered nurse for more than two decades and her career brought her great joy as she loved helping people. She was a fitness fanatic - a master swimmer who also participated in 100-mile bike rides. Sharon also had deep faith and would often volunteer at her church St. Francis.
Rod and Sharon traveled extensively throughout their lives and took their kids with them on many adventures. She was very firm on always taking pictures to document these wonderful moments to which her kids would protest half heartedly. Now we thank her profusely for helping us remember all the good times so easily with the photo trail she insisted we create.
She always saw the silver lining in every situation and was full of laughter and love. Sharon found the humor in everything and made others around her laugh constantly. She was delightful and engaging and people were naturally drawn to her. Everyone who was lucky enough to count Sharon as a friend or family member felt hugely supported by her. She is leaving a massive hole in the hearts of her family and friends who loved her dearly.
She is survived by her husband Rod and children Steven, Kathleen, Shannon, and Jaime; grandchildren Darrell, Darrek, Steven, Chriselda, Baz, Bellamy, Mackenzie; siblings Danny and Kevin.
