Rose Amaral Obituary

Rose Mary Amaral passed away on Mother's Day, May 9, 2021, at the age of 92 in Sonoma, CA. Rose was born in Napa, CA on April 21, 1929 and is a graduate of Sonoma Valley High School. She is survived by her son, John M. Amaral, his wife Doreen, and her "little princesses", granddaughters Alina and Suzanne Amaral, of Sonoma, CA. She was predeceased by her parents, Manuel and Maria Thiodoro, brother, Jose (Joe) Thiodoro, and former husband and close friend, John S. Amaral.

Rose was a former employee of Sprouse-Reitz and Longs Drug Store, and hostess at El Dorado Hotel, in Sonoma. She volunteered at St. Francis Solano School in Sonoma, as a Pink Lady at Sonoma Valley Hospital, and was a member of Native Daughters. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and in her younger years, enjoyed horseback riding with her good friends. 
 
Rose's family would like to offer a special "thank you" to Solate Bari, who was Rose's loving caregiver for the past twelve and a half years, and Hospice.

At her request, private family services will be held, followed by a celebration of life at a later time.
