Rodney Carr Obituary

On September 23, 2020, a great man left this Earth. Rodney Carr was a loving and passionate man.  Family was everything to Rodney and he showed it in many different ways. On May 19, 2018, he married Pam Larson and her family became a part of his.

Rodney is survived by his wife Pam Meehan-Carr; his children Dustin, Andrew and Daniel; his sisters Cathy Carr and Tina Sherman; his nieces & nephews, Jennifer Roscoe, Matt Sherman & Andrea Carr; great nieces & nephews Mashayla Thompson, Haley & Graham Roscoe, Vance & Chase Sherman. Rodney loved Pam's family Amber Mazza, her husband Jesse, Cierra Larson, Heath Larson and his wife Alexa D’Acquisto as his own children, and Amber's children Emmett and Everly as his own grandchildren.

Rodney was a devoted husband and father. He had a passion for cars, hunting, the outdoors and his work. He was a talented fabricator, creating beautiful gates and railings for clients throughout Sonoma County—he became friends with many of those clients. He was quite the jokester and loved to sing songs on the radio changing the lyrics as he sang. His rendition would make everyone laugh.  He created funny endearing nick names for his sons and nephew. He was an avid hunter, instilling the love and respect of nature in his sons and nephew. Over the years, he built many beautiful cars. His last truck was his beautiful 36 Dodge Brothers which he absolutely loved. His truck was on full display during his and Pam’s wedding ceremony and they drove it around the Sonoma Plaza after they were married. Rodney loved animals, especially his kitties, his dog and his squirrels he bottle fed as infants and released into his yard. Rodney had a heart of gold and a great sense of humor. He was loved by many and gave unwavering love and support to his friends and family.

We know that the deer in the hills of Sonoma are sleeping better knowing that Rodney has gone to the Happy Hunting Grounds above the sky.
