Robert Dennis Kinsey

Robert Kinsey passed away February 2, 2024. He was born February 17, 1942 in East Liverpool Ohio, upon graduating from Liverpool high school in 1960 he entered the United States Air Force, which began his life of adventure. The Air Force took him to places like the Philippines, Texas, Ohio, California, Hawaii, and all places in between.  His career in the Air Force began with him being a security police specialist, after a couple years as a security policeman, he got an opportunity to learn about computer science. He then became a computer programmer until his retirement from the United States Air Force. It was while he was stationed in the Philippines that he met his beautiful wife Celestina. They were together until her passing in 2001 After the retirement from the United States Air Force, he moved to Idaho to work at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory as a computer programmer and retired from that job in 1999. In 2003 he married Kaye and they lived in Sonoma California until his passing. Daddy, as we lovingly referred to him, lived a life of adventure from fishing at Canyon Lake in Texas, to fishing off the waters of Hawaii, hunting in Texas and Idaho and sailing on a 16 foot yacht from LA to Honolulu. The list of his adventures and stories are too many to share. If experiences and memories are what we take with us when we depart this life, he leaves this earth a wealthy man and definitely left his mark. He was a very generous man always offering his time to help others in their time of need. He was very good at giving advice to his children in many different ways, solicited and unsolicited, as of course we all needed. His greatest jewel in this world are his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved being Grandpa and it was a role that softened him and opened his heart even more. Daddy, we thank you for all the lessons you imparted on us about love, forgiveness and how to live a fulfilling life right up to the very end. We have many stories to tell the grands, greats and great greats to come. You will live on through all your adventures and stories and with that we honor your life!

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service, Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Duggan's Mission Chapel, 525 West Napa Street, Sonoma, CA 95476
