Randolph “Randy” Jules Heinz, a San Francisco native, passed away peacefully with his loving wife and daughter by his side, on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. He was 66 years old.
Randy, son of Elsie Moniz and Rudy Luke Heinz, younger brother to Karen, was born on May 28, 1953. He lived on Girard Street in San Francisco with his mother, until he met the love of his life, Macrina Guevara, at a birthday party. They were married in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 14, 1980.
Randy and Macrina moved to their home in Pacifica, where they raised their daughter, together, they shared over 40 years of love, family, friends, hiking, honoring nature, swimming, and watching their talented daughter perform in her Hula troupe. Randy had a passion for electrical manuals, mechanics and engineering tools, Japanese SOG knives, Buddhism, Conga drums and martial arts.
Randy will forever be remembered as a good man of quiet strength, a loyal friend and a loving family man who lived to provide for and protect his wife and daughter.
We are going to host as a celebration for life, with wearing white as is Hawaiian and Filipino customs, and as my dad would have wanted as a celebration gathering everyone he loved in one spot. Please wear white top and light colored bottoms.
In lieu of flowers we are requesting memorial gift donations to charities my dad supported and to support Lewy Body/Alzheimer’s research (i.e. Larkin St. Youth Center in San Francisco, and UCSF Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases). Please note In Memory of Randy Heinz, and/or if selecting UCSF please select Direct your gift to a specific area > Neurosciences > The Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (IND).
