It is with extreme sadness that Dianne Marino passed peacefully on December 6th, surrounded by her three daughters. Dianne was born in Sonoma, California to Ludwig and Norma Alessi. She attended St. Francis Solano Grammar School then onto Sonoma Valley High School and San Francisco State. She received her Bachelors degree in Education and acquired an elementary teaching credential. Dianne married her longtime love, the late Jerry Marino on August 22nd, 1965 and they built their life in Sonoma. Dianne enjoyed a career in teaching elementary school throughout the Sonoma Valley for decades. She truly loved children and found that to be her passion. Her most prized role was as a mother to her three daughters Christina, Lisa and Melissa. She dedicated her entire life to raising her children and providing a warm loving home for her family. Dianne enjoyed riding horses, gardening, and was an avid reader. She also loved spending quality time with all of her friends and family. She loved to laugh and enjoyed nothing more than sitting around the dinner table with friends and family listening to stories, all while laughing along. Her many years in Sonoma provided a deep history with so many longtime friends. In addition to her children, Dianne’s eight grandchildren were the highlight of her life. She devoted her later years of her life to her grandchildren going to all of their school functions and sporting events. She was their biggest fan and always was there for each and everyone of them.
Dianne is survived by daughters Christina Harney( Christopher),Lisa Dierking( John), Melissa Weiss (Judd) and grandchildren, Sophia, Matthew, Katherine, Jack, Grace, William, Wyatt, Garrett , & John Henry(deceased). Dianne was the pillar of her family and will be missed more than she will ever know.
