Born in Sonoma, California
Attended El Verano Elementary School. Graduated from Sonoma Valley High School
Received a Bachelor's Degree from Sonoma State University.
Worked many years at Sonoma State Hospital ( now known as Sonoma Developmental Center) as a Psychiatric Technician
Later worked at the Presbyterian hospital, as a ward clerk in the Pediatric Ward.
While in San Francisco Mike was an enthusiastic participant in the community garden.
Mike continued this hobby, after retiring and then living at Sonoma Post Acute.
Growing orchids was a special talent of his
Preceded in death by his father, Mike Flandi, his mother Cecilia Flandi, his aunt, Mary Greger, his uncle, Al Flandi his cousin Joan Burtson, and most recently his brother Gary K. Flandi
Survived by his brother, Stan Flandi (Darlene) his sister, Patti Van Vuren (Ted) his sister-in-law Lorna L. Smith, his nephew, Glen Flandi (Sharon) his nieces Kelli DeMent ( Christian) and Christina Smith, Three cousins Milton Greger, Claudia DiClemente and Linda Oswald (Roger)
Mike will be remembered and honored in a virtual memorial for his beloved family.
