Mary Hall Obituary

Mary Belle Hall, 95, died peacefully at home in Sonoma, Ca. on Sunday, October 7, 2018 with her family at her bedside.   She was born in Washingtion, Missouri on July 8, 1923 to Joseph Wesley & Goldia Inez Epps.  She was the third oldest of 10 children.  Mary was a fiercely independent women who, up until a few weeks before her passing, was living on her own and intended to stay that way for as long as she could.  Starting from a young age, she sang with a country western band called the Maddox Brothers and Rose, played baseball and during the war, she worked at McClelland Airforce Base working on aircraft.  At some point however, she found her true calling, bowling, which she excelled at.  She started in Sonoma and Napa winning numerous awards and eventually made it to the playoffs in Oklahoma for the championship games.  She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, had belonged to the Garden Club, was an avid bingo player and loved to shop thrift stores and garage sales.  Volunteered for many causes and became a member of the United Methodist Church and was baptized in 2007 which she was very proud of.

She loved her family, cherished her friendships and always put them first.

Her family loved her as well and will miss her more than words could ever express.  But they take comfort in knowing that she knew her family that had passed before her was waiting for her and that God would show her the way to them.

She married Mark L. Hall on December 15, 1946 who proceeded her in death in 2003.  She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Larry Hall & Bobbi, four grandchildren: Debbie Poore & Mary Baza, Ron Hall & wife Michelle, Richard Hall and Edward Hall & wife Jenn, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  She is also survived by her younger sister & brother in law, Nell & Buzz Eddy of Sacramento, CA and her brother & sister-in-law, Donald Epps & his wife, Sharon of Palm Desert, Ca.

At her request there will be no services. There will be a private burial with her immediate family present.
