Margaret Elaine Marino (Silvestro, Seelye) was born on September 13, 1946, the first of
three children of Betty and Joseph Silvestro, Jr. in San Francisco, California. She passed
away at her home in Sonoma on December 21, 2024, at the age of 78.
Margaret settled with her parents and extended family in Sonoma, and attended Sonoma
Valley High School where she met friends whose friendship she would enjoy until her
last days. Margaret was married twice and had four children. In her early twenties, she
began a lifelong career of caring for the elderly as a CNA, delivering dignity, compassion
and love to many over the following forty years. She enjoyed gardening, classic cars,
camping, the outdoors, birds, and her children. And she loved the wrinkled faces of her
Sharpei puppies.
She is survived by her sons Roger and Michael (Kelly); her daughters Chandra and
Shannon (Elliott); her grandchildren Nicole Seelye, Trisha Seelye, Jared Seelye, Jonathan
Seelye, Mikey Seelye, Kayla Seelye, Joseph Seelye, Bronwyn Todd, Rowan Todd,
Genevieve McCambridge; her great grandchildren Grace Garcia and Abigail Seelye. She
will be dearly missed by many.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will be delaying this Saturdays gathering, and will
be announcing a new date in the future. Apologies for any inconvenience.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/give.html
