Lynn was born at Kaiser Hospital in San Francisco.  The daughter of Reino and Irene Erkkila and sister to David Erkkila.  She enjoyed her preschool years playing on Beaver Street and surrounding streets in the Castro District.  Lynn attended McKinley Grammar School, Everett Middle School, Lowell and Poly High Schools and SF City College over a 14 year period during which she made many lifelong friends.

Lynn loved spending time with her children, family and friends. But most of all she loved Paul.  She brought her beloved husband 40 years of marital happiness that included sailing the World seas, golfing beautiful courses, ballroom dancing and countless wonderful family gatherings.

Lynn was especially proud of her Finnish heritage, learning to speak Finnish, visiting Finland and being an active member of the Finnish American Heritage Association in Sonoma (FAHA).

Lynn was predeceased by her mother and father, Irene and Reino Erkkila, her brother David Erkkila and her step daughter Cami Von Wiedenfield.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Air Force Colonel (Ret) Paul Von Wiedenfield, her two children Steven Flach and Wendy Saunders (Phil), three grandchildren Christopher Saunders, Christina Saunders and Michelle Von Wiedenfield and four great grandchildren, Mya, Aubrey, Athena and Jaxxon.

In addition she leaves behind her sister in law Theresa Erkkila and niece Karin Burk (Abe) and children, Irene and Corey, her nephew Richard Erkkila (Beth) and children, Kaiya and Hayden.  Lynn also leaves behind her first husband of 12 years Dr. Allan Flach and his wife, Teri who were both blessed with Lynn's love and compassion.  Also, left behind are many many lifelong friends of 70 years plus.

At her request, Private Family Services will be held.

We all love you Lynn , we miss you, and you will remain in our hearts and minds forever.
