Lena Y. Davis

Lena was born June 25,1922, in Sonoma, CA to Egisto and Marie Barsi and was raised in Glen Ellen.  She attended Dunbar Grammar School and graduated from Sonoma Valley High School class of 1941.

She married Howard Davis in 1942 and soon moved to Bremerton, WA were he was stationed with the Navy. They later moved back to Glen Ellen and started their family.

She worked for 26 years at the Valley of the Moon grocery store. After retiring she and Howard enjoyed cruising.

She is survived by her daughter Judy Basileu (Bill) 3 granddaughters Danielle Gerih (Mike), Kim Basileu and Christina Davis and 6 great-granddaughters Myranda, Isabella, Emma, Ellie, Mackenzie and Makayla and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband Howard and son and daughter-in-law Ron and Margaret Davis, her sister Paulette and brothers Bob and George.

We would like to thank her caregivers Melina, Addie, Mayra, Nancy and Kimberly for the love, respect and wonderful care they gave Mom and for bridge Hospice.

Friends are invited to the funeral mass, Friday, April 21, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Sonoma, CA.  Visitation will be on Thursday, April 20, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Duggan's Mission Chapel, 525 West Napa Street, Sonoma.  Interment, St. Francis Cemetery, Sonoma
