Larry Steven King

Larry Steven King, age 78 of Sonoma, CA passed away at his home with his family by his side on March 12, 2023. 

Larry was born in Port Huron Michigan and graduated from St Michael’s High School in Flint Michigan, then serving in the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant and finally continuing his education at Sonoma State University.  He worked for the State of California for many years as a Sales Tax Auditor. Larry was an active member of The Valley of the Moon Lions Club for 20 years, acting as President and Treasurer.  Larry loved Golf, and all sports and cheering on his favorite players and teams. 

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Glenna King and by his children; Deborah King Shrum and Brian King (Lauren Meagher); and was the adored grandfather of Ian Shrum (Veronica) and Michaela Shrum. He is also survived by his siblings Cindy King Sawyer (Dick), Marguerite King Goodall, David King (Becky), Janice King Randa (Tim), Kathy King Addington (Fenton). And Several cousins, nieces & nephews.  Larry is preceded in death by his parents (Jack & Marguerite) and 2 brothers (John & Michael).

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 1pm March 25, 2023, at St Francis Solano Church.  A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the Service at Plaza Bistro.

 The family is very grateful for the wonderful care given by his doctors, and the medical and nursing staff of Hospice.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Larry’s memory to FISH or to a favorite charity.
