Ken Del Monte, beloved husband, brother, uncle, friend, passed away at the age of 79. Born and raised in San Francisco, Ken carried a deep love for the city throughout his life. He was the son of Esther and Peter Del Monte (deceased). He graduated from Galileo High School and earned his degree at the University of San Francisco. Ken also served in the United States Army Reserves for six years. He continued a lifelong support for the military through donations to several organizations.
Ken enjoyed a long and dedicated career for 40 years with Bank of America where he was known for his professionalism, integrity, and kindness to colleagues and clients alike. He loved cooking and cherished his Italian heritage, often sharing traditional meals with family and friends. A lifelong sports fan, Ken loved the San Francisco 49ers and held season tickets with his father since the 1940s. Outside of work, he was a proud member of Ducks Unlimited and an avid fisherman supporting conservation efforts and sharing a passion for the outdoors with many. He was also a devoted companion over the years to his many Labrador retrievers and most recently, Shasta, who brought him great joy.
Ken is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Joan, and by his sister Lynne Callen and husband Tom. He was the cherished uncle of Andrea (Vic) and Tommy (Jenny) and the loving great-uncle of Callen, Luke, Jack, Cole, and Beau.
