Karen Kay Busterna

Karen Kay Busterna passed away at home in San Francisco on September 3, 2020 at the age of 76 years.

Karen was born in Oklahoma and lived for many years in the Sonoma Valley area.  She was a grammar school teacher at Flowery Elementary School on Sonoma Highway for over 35 years.  She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Kathryn Busterna.  She is survived by her sister, Alice Contrades of San Francisco, her brothers, Paul Busterna of San Francisco and Frank Busterna of South Carolina, 2 nieces and 3 great-nephews and a niece.

She loved crochet and was an avid reader.

Family services will be held at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Sonoma, CA 95476.  Memorial contributions may be made to American German Shepherd Dog Charitable Foundation
