Jon Gordon Traub, age 82, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on March 2, 1944, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Gordon lived a life marked by kindness, humor, hard work, and love. He was devoted to his family and found great joy in fishing, hunting, boating, travel, and the many projects that kept his hands and mind busy.
Gordon was predeceased by his wife, Judy Traub; his son, Kris Hard; and his daughter, Jennifer Berry.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Randi Traub; his son, Keith Hard; stepdaughter, Heather Botkin; stepson, Chris Botkin; sister, Kathy Durkin; brothers, Neil and Doug Traub; grandchildren, Kellan Hard, Jack and Kendall Berry, and Penny and Kaylee Botkin; as well as many extended family members and friends who will cherish the memories they shared with him.
Those who knew Gordon will remember his unwavering dedication to family and friends, his willingness to lend a helping hand, and the warmth and laughter he brought to those around him. His impact on the lives of family, friends, and all who knew him will not be forgotten.
A private Celebration of Life will be held on the Sonoma Coast.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the University of California, San Francisco Foundation in support of dementia research.
Gordon will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who loved him.
