Jerry Nicholas Morgan

July 20, 1942 ~ December 23, 2021 (age 79)

Jerry Nicholas Morgan age 79 passed away peacefully on December 23, 2021, in his home surrounded by loved ones and his two dogs, Wilson and Hope.

Jerry was born on July 20th, 1942, in Detroit, MI to Ann & Gilbert Morgan.  Jerry was one of five children.  Throughout his childhood his family moved from Michigan to New Mexico and then to California where he graduated from San Rafael High School in 1960.  Jerry and Susan were married in 1973.  They built their home in Sonoma Valley where they raised their 2 children and a menagerie of beloved pets.

Jerry was a hard-working man and was so proud of being able to live and raise his family in Sonoma Valley. He worked for Lucky grocery store for 40 years along with having a cleaning business and worked for Hydrofarm for over 20 years.  He volunteered and loved to help coach youth softball, baseball and football for his kids.

Everyone loved Jerry or ‘Big Jer’.  His laugh and smile would warm your heart.  He was a kind and caring man…. simple and humble.  His laughter was contagious to all who surrounded him.

Jerry is survived by his wife Susan, daughter Shannon (Billy), son Lance (Mayra), Grandsons Chance and Easton, brother Dallas (Sonnie), sister Wanda, best mother-in-law Violet Swanson and many brother and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews all loved from a special place in his heart.

Preceded in death by his beloved niece Kaityln Hanna, son Nick, brother Richard, and sister Debbie.

The world has lost a great man, but Heaven has gained one…we will miss you dad.
