Glenda Dean Sheppard a 53 Year Resident of Sonoma passed away May 14th due to complications of surgery. She was surrounded by her children, Grandchildren and great-grandson. Glenda was preceded in passing by her youngest son David. Parents John and Mabel Gilbreath of Ash Flat. Brothers JL and Roy Gilbreath of Ash Flat, Sister Wanda Ruff of Jonesboro and Sister Johnny Faye of Salem Arkansas.
Glenda was born on Nov 4th 1931 in Ash Flat Arkansas where she Attended School and played on the Girls BasketBall Team and to this Day Loved to Watch a Game being Played on TV. Glenda Married Jack Sheppard an AshFlat resident on July 9th 1949. They just had their 72nd Wedding Anniversary. They did some Rambling before settling down in Sonoma. Left Arkansas for St Louis Mo,(1954) then up to Wenatchee Washington (1962) from Wenatchee to Sonoma a few years later moved again back to Arkansas and finally in 1968 Moved to Sonoma the 2nd time to stay.
She was an Excellent Cook, Home Maker and Seamstress who made clothes for her grandchildren. An Exceptional Mother,Grandmother and Friend who always had a Big Smile to Greet you with. Glenda had 4 Children: Jackie, Karen, Charles and David, 5 Grandchildren :Tara, Autumn, Rachel, Jason and Leah, 5 Great-Grandchildren: Brooke, Emily, Micheal, James and Jeric, 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren: Avery, Greyson and Gianna. She is also survived by numerous Nephews and Nieces.
A Graveside Ceremony will be held May 26th at 2:30pm at Valley Cemetery Sonoma Ca.
