Frances M. Schiff

Frances (Fran) Margherite Schiff passed away on November 25, 2021 in Sonoma, California.  She was 83 years old.  Fran was born and raised in San Francisco, graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1956.  She lived her entire adult life in Sonoma.  Fran loved flowers and enjoyed working at Bancroft’s Florists & Gifts on Broadway for 28 years.  Fran and husband Charlie enjoyed socializing with their many friends and could often be found dining at the Sonoma Grove, a popular restaurant for locals.  She was actively involved in the Native Daughters of California for 50+ years, serving as President and later participating in the Past Presidents group.  Over the years, Fran baked thousands of cookies sold at Native Daughters fundraisers that provided scholarships for local high school students.  She was a regular concession stand volunteer at Little League, Babe Ruth, and Fast Pitch Softball games during the many years that her sons and husband were participants.  Fran loved animals and volunteered at the Pets Lifeline.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, visiting her sons and grandchildren in Hawaii and Redding, California.  Fran is survived by: her Husband Albert “Charlie” Schiff; Sons Michael Delucchi and David Schiff; Grandsons Austen Owens (wife Amanda), Brad Schiff and Marc Delucchi; Great Grandchildren Cordelia and Henry; Daughters-in-law Susan Owens-Delucchi and Jeannette Schiff; Sister-in-law Anna Nicora, Caregiver Leslie Brooke; and Cat PeeWee.  She was preceded in death by her parents (Aldo and Annetta Nicora); Brother Henry; Son John; and Best Friend of 70+ years Marilyn Stogstill.  Burial will be at Valley Cemetery, Sonoma, CA
