Ellen Annette McKeon

Ellen McKeon, age 100, passed away on June 7, 2024.  Born and raised in the North Beach area of San Francisco, she was a resident of Mill Valley for 70 years before moving to Aldersly Assisted Living in San Rafael.

Ellen was a past member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West – Tamalpa Parlor and the Italian Catholic Federation (ICF) – Larkspur Branch.  She had been an active member and volunteer at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Mill Valley where she was the parish secretary for 15 years, retiring in 1982.  Ellen had a passion for baking and loved experimenting with new recipes and testing them out on family and friends.

Ellen was predeceased in 2015 by Thomas “Bud” McKeon, her husband of 69 years.  She is survived by daughter Kathryn (Percy) and son Steven (Norma).

The family thanks the staff at Aldersly Assisted living for their care of Ellen for the past 6 ½ years.

Per Ellen’s wishes, there will be no service.
