Cora Lula Carabini, age 80, of Sonoma, CA, passed away September 6th, 2024 from complications resulting from a stroke.
Cora was born in Dawson, IL and attended school in Buffalo Hart, IL before transferring to Sonoma Valley High School in 1959. She later went on to study business at Napa Valley College. After graduating she worked for Bank of America eventually earning the title of Branch Manager over her 38 years. After retiring from the bank, she worked as a Client Service Coordinator for Ameriprise receiving her 20th year anniversary just following her stroke.
In 1964 she was married to Earl Carabini of Sonoma, CA. Together they had one son, James Carabini. They remained married for 54 years up to becoming a widow.
After giving birth, she excelled at being a great mother while still working. She supported the family along with her husband financially and emotionally through good times and bad. She was always thoughtful of providing for her family, caring and maintaining her many friendships. She was always quick witted and knew how to make others laugh with her great sense of humor. Her love and smile will live in our hearts forever.
Some of her fondest moments were spending time with her granddaughters, Liliana and Angelina. She was always involved in trips, holidays, sports, graduations, and birthday celebrations.
Cora was predeceased by her mother, Mary Katherine Kappes; her stepfather, Julius H Kappes; her brothers, Jimmy and Glen Cofer; and her husband, Earl Carabini. She is survived by her son, daughter in law, Christina Carabini, and granddaughters, Liliana and Angelina Carabini.
