Carrie Stockton Obituary

Carrie “Dolly” Stockton of Sonoma, California, passed away on March 29, 2026, surrounded by family. Born on September 25, 1952, in Sonoma, California, Dolly attended local schools, including El Verano and Flowery Elementary Schools and graduated from Sonoma Valley High School in 1970. It was there that she formed lifetime friendships that lasted until her passing. For a short time, work took her to Woodland and then Roseville, California; finally making her way back to Sonoma in 1999. In 2012, while playing in a Bocce Ball League, she met the love of her life Fred Angelis. She and Fred traveled extensively, visiting several parts of Europe, New Zealand, Bali, and Mexico to name a few. Growing up in a family that hunted, fished and raced, she was always up for an adventure. Although she had no children, she will forever be known as “Aunt Dolly“ to so many of her nieces’ and nephew’s friends, as well as to the children within the circle of her life long friends. She was a free spirit that was vibrant, whimsical, inquisitive, who loved color and had a huge heart. She is survived by mother, Dolores Stockton; sister, Linda Martinelli; Nieces, Dorena Martinelli and Stacie McCambridge; nephew Bob Martinelli (Megan); great niece Cheyenne McCambridge and great nephew, Bobby Martinelli and longtime partner Fred Angelis. Preceded by father, Jerry Stockton; brother Terry Stockton; and Grandmother Rena Silveria. A memorial will be held on May 30, 2026 from 11-3pm at the Valley of the Moon Trap Club In lieu of flowers please consider donating in her memory to the Donor Network West (the organ donor program that works with Stanford) https://www.donornetworkwest.org/virtuous-page/
