Archie Schumann

Archie Charles Schumann, age 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 25, 2020, at his home in Sonoma.  He was born on May 14, 1927 in Albert, Texas. His parents were Alexander A. Schumann and Ima Jean Traweek. Archie is a veteran from World War II.  When he was 18 years of age he served honorably in the navy as a firefighter. He also worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo where he worked as a machinist.

Archie had 9 siblings out of 11 kids he was the 3rd oldest. My aunt Anna Marie is the last of her family.

Archie lived in Sonoma where he met his wife Linda l Schumann they also had 3 kids Janet, Kim and Alex. Janet had two kids, Jorge and William. Kim had five with Mario, kids Maria, Cristal, Maricella, Lorena and Edgar. Alex took care of Linda and Archie, he stayed home but how he loved them dearly. Archie was a great grandfather. Maria has six kids Carmen, Isabell, Neri ,Robert and Rafale and one on the way.

Cristal has two kids Bianca and Madison. Maricela has six kids Sophia, Amanda, Wyatt Chloe and Logan. Lorena has two kids Gabriel and Diego Archie named after his great grandfather. Edgar and his wife Angelina will be having a boy. Archie is a great great grandfather Maria’s daughter Carmen has one Hinata.

Archie was loved by all there's a lot to say he helped a lot of people even if they weren’t family Lorena said he made his own wine and he also loved to make apple pies and pumpkin and he would can the apples by hand from his garden for someone in their 90’s. He said healthy and he ate right and was in very good shape he will truly be missed.  Rest in peace grandpa we love you gone but never forgotten truly the best man I've ever meet rest in peace Archie C. Schumann
