Antonio Collorafi (“Tony the Barber”), age 77, passed away on March 9, 2022 after a brave fight with his declining health. He was born in Sicily to Ugo and Agata Collorafi. In his teens Tony served in the Italian Navy. Tony immigrated to the United States where he settled on the East coast. While attending a concert in New Jersey he had a chance meeting with his future wife of 50 years, Rocchina Collorafi (Freda). He is survived by his wife and daughters Anna Collorafi (Dean Wilkendorf), Alessandra (Seric Cusick), Rosanna Collorafi, and his grandchildren Seth, Dylan and Carmela Cusick. He is also survived by his sister Rosaria (Vincenzo Grassadonia), and his brothers Pietro (Jane), Dominic, Tinardo (Carmen) Collorafi and brother-in-law, Charles Chapman. He is proceeded by his sister Josephine Chapman. Tony is also survived by as many nieces and nephews. Although he is best known for his haircuts, he was also known for his authentic Italian food (especially his Tiramisu) and had owned several Italian restaurants in Sonoma. His passions included gardening, soccer, spending time by the ocean, arts and crafts, music and dancing. Tony was a veteran of the Armed Forces where he served in Vietnam. Tony was known for his sense of humor and willingness to help people. He was involved in the VFW, the Italian Catholic Federation, the Moose Lodge, and Sons of Italy.
The viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Duggan’s Mission Chapel in Sonoma, between 4:00 - 7:00pm with the Rosary Prayer Service at 6pm.
