Alfred Robles, 61, went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2021. He passed peacefully at his home in Sonoma surrounded by loved ones after a brief but brave battle with cancer. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of 29 years Lynda, as well as an amazing father to their daughter Anna. He took significant pride in watching Anna grow into the young woman she is today.
Alfred graduated from Sonoma Valley High School in 1978. He started working at Broadway Market in November 1977, working for owners Ron Rodgers and Dianne Gaudino until January 2021. During his years at Broadway Market, Ron and Diane became part of the family and customers of Broadway Market became some of Al’s closest friends. He’d greet everyone who came into Broadway Market with beaming enthusiasm. He was a good friend, confidant and match maker to more people than can be counted. His love for the people of his community can be matched only to their love for him and he was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support that he and his family received during his last months.
Alfred joins his parents, Alfred and Gloria Robles, and brother Michael Robles in heaven which helps give us peace. He is survived by his siblings Rita Hardister, Joy Stopar and husband Daniel, Eddie Robles and wife Paula, Vince Robles, Gloria Garcia and husband John, Hilario Robles and wife Tiffany, as well as his many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his father-in-love Ron Rodgers.
A Life Celebration for Al will be open to the community, family, & friends to gather and share stories and tears on Friday, April 30th at 2:30 at 24140 Turkey Rd., Sonoma, CA.
Due to Covid-19, Alfred's funeral services will be private by invitation.
