Wallace “Skip” Eugene MacDonald
On Thursday, April 18, 2019, Skip MacDonald passed away in Sonoma CA at the age of 85.
He is survived by his wife Shirley MacDonald, his four children, Linda (Jeff), Barry, Lysette (Anthony) and Michael, stepchildren Charlene (Paul) and Gene(Colleen), sister Pricilla Duborvich, brother Carlton MacDonald.
12 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces, and nephews.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Skip graduated from Saint Ignatius College Preparatory High School in 1951, served in the US Army, upon his completion of Military Service he returned to San Francisco and Graduated from USF, San Francisco in 1960.
Skip spent most of his working years in Food Sales, working for Retail Grocery chains before moving on to Sales Management with Kraft Foods and C & H Sugar.
Skip was an avid golfer and loved his hometown sports teams. SF Giants and SF 49ers. Skip will be remembered for his quick wit and joke telling.
Skip was especially involved with St. Ignatius Preparatory School Alumni, up until his passing he participated in monthly luncheons with his 1951 classmates at the Balboa Café in San Francisco.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Saturday May 25, 2019 - 9:30 am
