Ryan "Chilli" DeSimone

It is with great sadness that the family of Ryan Anthony DeSimone, AKA “Chilli”, announces his passing on August 12, 2017; he was 33.  Ryan was born in Anaheim, CA, on September 14, 1983 and moved to Sonoma at a young age and attended Flowery Elementary School, Altimira Middle School, and was a  graduate of Sonoma Valley High School, Class of 2001.  He later married his high school sweetheart and had two amazing children.

He was an active sports coach for Sonoma Valley. Growing up he played football and baseball. Ryan found his passion and second home on the softball fields.  He was also a Witchie Poo Player at Sebastiani theatre for many years and his daughters will continue being a part of the Witchie Poo Community. Ryan will be forever remembered by his loving wife Kristy, and their precious girls, Gianna and Lyla; by his parents Mardy Phillips, and Lenny DeSimone, and his sister and brother, Morgan and Sean Phillips. Ryan will also be remembered by his loving grandfather Eddie Sheldrake, and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Ryan was an incredible father to his two girls. He loved them unconditionally. The bond he shared with them was remarkable. Our house was always filled with laughter when dad was around. Gianna and Lyla will never forget their daddy. He was a loving husband. He loved his family, he loved his friends, it is just pure sadness to lose someone that was loved by so many at such a young age. With his huge heart and infectious smile and laugh, Ryan is looking down on us with his bright neon green angel wings, probably doing his crazy dance moves, yelling "atta babe" or "woooooooooooo" from the softball field.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of his life on Friday, August 25, 2017  from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM at the Sonoma Veterans Memorial  Building, 126 1st Street West, Sonoma, CA 95476.   There will be a service followed by a reception.

Please wear neon green or some type of bright color just like he would want.

A trust fund account for the girls has been set up by his family at Bank of the West.
