Pieter Goedewaagen,  passed away peacefully, Monday, October 2, 2017, he was 86.

He was born in Oakland, CA to Pieter and Katrina Goedewaagen.  He grew up in Alameda, CA.  He graduated from Alameda High School in 1949 and the University of California Berkeley in 1954.

He was a Licensed Real Estate Broker and Contractor and worked for Eichler Homes and the Alpha Land Company.  He also developed many projects under his own Company, Goedewaagen Enterprises.  In semi-retirement, he worked for Vintage House, Senior Center, in Sonoma, CA.

He loved traveling the world, was a history buff, voracious reader, avid photographer, enjoyed Jazz Music, art museums, decadent desserts and a good game of Bocce.  He was a member of Bocce Sonoma, playing on the Thursday Morning League.

He is survived by his wife, Micki (nee Margaret Mulroy); daughter Megan Goedewaagen; brother Thomas Goedewaagen (Joyce); nieces: Jo Ann (Marty) Solov, Chris Goedewaagen (Stan Koloski), Elizabeth, Elizabeth (Fred) Englehart, Jane (Michael) Frazin, Karen (Michael) Knetter and nephew, Mark Goedewaagen.

Peter was predeceased by his parents, brother Aart Goedewaagen and sister-in-law Violet Marshall and Joyce Shill.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
