Patty Ann Landregan was born December 5, 1924, the eldest child of John W. Landrgan Sr. and Edythe E. (Tutu) Lundell. She was born in Honolulu at the time it was part of the Territory of Hawaii. Patty lived in the hills above Honolulu with her siblings John W. Landregan Jr. and Jacquie Landregan Sipes. They were all there during the attack on Pearl Harbor. After the war, around 1946, the family moved to Walnut Creek, California. Patty was cared for and lived at the Sonoma Development Center. Many of her wonderful caregivers, social workers and doctors had known and looked after Patty for many years. She left there in October 2017 and settled into a group home, The Woodbridge in Clayton. Patty adapted very well and was delighted to be reunited with a friend from Sonoma! At the age of 93, Patty died, July 21, 2018, at home surrounded by her new caregivers and friends. Her niece, Lora Hicks (Landregan) had spent the day before with her, playing Hawaiian music and comforting her.
Patty enjoyed going on rides and getting ice cream. Years ago, her mother, Tutu, with pack a lunch and make the trip up to see her, usually taking one of her grandchildren, Patty’s nieces along. Patty enjoyed coming to visit Tutu too!
Patty outlived her immediate family, her parents and siblings. She is survived by her nieces Dale Walker (Landregan), Lora Hicks (Landregan), Linda Faulkenberry (Landregan) and Donna Landregan. She is also survived by 6 great and greatgreat nieces and nephews. Patty will be interred next to her mother, Tutu, at Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington, Iowa.
