Prepared by Mike Treacy:
"Patients are often curious about me, so as a courtesy, here is a brief history of myself. A native San Franciscan, I graduated from Sacred Heart High School, attended The University of San Francisco and received my degree in computer sciences from the American Institute of Technology in Phoenix, Arizona. I then opened The Third Eye bookstore which specialized in books on Eastern thought and meditation. At the same time, I owned and operated an office and house cleaning business. This was my profession for 25 years.
I took a sabbatical, went to Taiwan, and opened an English school called Uncle Mike's English Country Garden. I taught conversational English to Buddhist monks, nuns, and their community. I took pleasure in a great deal of meditation during this period. After I came back to the United States, I started Mikemobile Incorporated, a non-emergency medical transport business which had four vehicles. I did wheelchair and gurney transfers in the thousands.
In Phoenix, Arizona, I started and organized several groups for adults who were abused or abandoned as children. I am a lifelong meditator, handball player, jogger, mountain hiker, and enjoy writing children's stories. Member of the Handball Hall of Fame. Meditation teacher."
