Josephine, “Jo” Tafoya was born on October 16th, 1918 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She grew up the youngest of four sisters.

On January 28th, 1937, Josephine married Louis Tafoya, and went on to raise 7 children in San Francisco, California. She was preceded in death by three; John, Richard, and Lois. The loving energy Josephine exuded touched anyone in her presence, especially her family, with whom she was devoted to.

Josephine expressed incredulous passion in every aspect of her life. Her love of gardening, reading, the SF Giants, and homemade Mexican cuisine were all pieces of Josephine that her friends and family will forever cherish as symbols of her comforting spirit.

Josephine passed away on July 16th, 2018, surrounded by family. She is survived by her children; Carol, Vickie, Nanette, & Donald, Grandchildren Rick, Michelle, Lisa, Andy, David, Michael, & Yvette, and 11 great-grandchildren.
