So sad to hear of this. John and I had many long conversations in the liquor aisle of Safeway. He was a sweet and caring man. The last two times we spoke which was very recently, he explained carefully how his last name was Fulfer and not Fuller. And the very last time I saw him, I happened to comment how much I liked his hair. Whether it was buzzed, long, or longer, he had the nicest hair. So I told him and I was surprised at how flattered he was. It was very cute. That was John. A super neat guy.
