Harry McFall Pickett, III passed away peacefully at his home in Sonoma, CA., Saturday, July 1, 2017. He was born in Charlotte, N.C. on Oct. 20, 1940, to Harry McFall, Jr. and Pauline Boggs Pickett. He graduated from Myers Park High School in 1958 and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1963. He was a member of Kapa Alpha Order. Harry was commissioned in the U.S. Navy after finishing Officers Candidate School in Newport R.I. He served on the USS Constellation during the Vietnam War and earned the rank of Lieutenant.

Harry made his life in the San Francisco Bay Area living in San Francisco, Marin County and Sonoma County. He loved this area of the USA. He was a stock broker, a Realtor, and an internet marketing consultant. He loved the NFL, NBA, and college football and basketball enjoying each sport in his unique home media room. He saw his life as always full and ready for him to enjoy and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a Christian and practiced his faith.

He is survived by his sister, Polly Pickett Caldwell (David) of Winter Haven, Fla. and three nephews David Caldwell and Doug Caldwell of Charlotte, N.C. and Mark Caldwell of Wellington, Fla., and several cousins.

The family is grateful to Hospice by the Bay and his devoted friends Robert and Marjorie Bower and Peter and Gypsy Grauert.

Interment will be in the Veteran’s Memorial Park,  in Sonoma, CA. at a later date.
