Estefania Soto

Estefania Soto, 27, of Glen Ellen, was killed in a drunk driving accident at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2017, while taking her daughter to school.

Stef was born on July 20, 1990, at Sonoma Valley Hospital to Jesus Soto and Elvia Alvarez Soto. She joined her big brother, Benny, and was later joined by younger brother Aaron.

She went to Dunbar Elementary, Altimira Middle, and Sonoma Valley High School, graduating from Creekside High. She put herself through the Marinello School of Beauty, and at the time of her passing, she worked for Crush Beauty Bar, where she had been working for the last two years. She had many clients who became friends throughout her years at salons. 

Stef was a lively soul with a great laugh. Her greatest joy was motherhood, which is where she really shined. Kaliyah Ava Rose joined her family on June 11, 2010.  Stef and Kaliyah were a strong, confident duo!  

She is survived by her father, Jesus, of Glen Ellen; her mother, Elvia, of American Canyon; brothers Aaron, of Glen Ellen, and Benny, of Vallejo; nephew Amari (mother Maya and sister Tiana); grandparents Jesus and Herlinda Soto, of Mexico; and too many aunts, uncles and cousins to list, throughout the United States and Mexico. She also had a huge base of friends, many since her Dunbar days, whom she considered family. Many more friends joined Stef along her path of life.

Services will be held at Duggan’s Mission Chapel, 525 W. Napa St., Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
