Dina was born on May 10, 1925 in Ovindoli, Italy to Maria and Giovanni Bruno. She passed away November 29, 2018 in Sonoma, CA surrounded by family.
Dina immigrated to America in 1947 and settled in San Francisco, later moving to Marin County. She relocated to and has called Sonoma her home for over 40 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Albert DiCesare, her brothers Enea and Lino and her sister Carla.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Ridenhour (Keith), her grandchildren Tony Marino (Amanda), and Alicia Marino, great-grandsons Michael Dewitt and Antonio Marino. She also leaves behind her sisters Flavia Petrini, Adriana Rosati, and Eva Picchi, many cousins, nieces and nephews including relatives in New York, Canada, Australia and Italy.
For her family and all who had the privilege to know her, Dina led by example as a devoted daughter, wife, mother, nonna and bis-nonna, sister and aunt.
In an era when women were relegated to the home, Dina worked to help provide for her family with unwavering business insight and wisdom. She was a teacher, imparting her knowledge and was a true friend. We remember her incredible strength, and her wonderful smile. She will live on in the countless lives she touched throughout her life. She will be truly missed.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass, Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 12:30 P.M. at St. Francis Solano Catholic Church, 469 3rd Street West, Sonoma, CA 95476.
