Darlene C. Torri

Darlene Cheryl Torri passed peacefully on October 31, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer.  She was born on July 22, 1946 in Sonoma, California to Harold “Pete” and Lillian Ballwanz.  Darlene was raised in Sonoma, California graduating from Sonoma Valley High.  Darlene met the love of her life, Mauri Torri and they were married in 1985.  They enjoyed time spent traveling and golfing together.  Although their time was cut short, their love was eternal.  Darlene also enjoyed daily conversations with many valley residents as she spent her career in the banking industry of Sonoma.  Her lifelong artistic passion led her to various crafting clubs and volunteerism with the Blanket Brigade.  Late in life Darlene enjoyed time spent traveling with her dear friend Milton Greger.  

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, sister Shirley “Kelly" Weil, aunts Emma Barsi and Delfina Fuentes(Sam), and her husband Mauri Torri. She is survived by her family members Roger Weil, Larry & Tuula Hunter, Bob & Leslie Torri, Felice Torri, her children Brian Torri(Danielle) and Aliisa Mazariegos, nephew Ray Weil(Leah), niece Ashley Weil(Clayton), and many loving grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins. 

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass, Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, 601 Agua Caliente Rd W, Sonoma, CA 95476.  Friends may call for visitation from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Duggan's Mission Chapel, 525 West Napa Street, Sonoma, CA 95476.  A vigil service will be held at 6 p.m.   Entombment, Mountain Cemetery, 90 First Street West, Sonoma, CA 95476.  In lieu of flowers please offer donations to Pet’s Lifeline of Sonoma Valley.”
