Patricia Ann Wise

Patricia A. Wise, after a brief illness, passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, July 22, 2017.

Pat was born in Bridgeport, Texas, on January 26, 1942. She arrived in Sonoma in 1947 with her parents and younger brother. She attended Flowery Elementary School and Sonoma Valley High School, Class of 1960.

Patti was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Sonoma. She married Don Wise in 1960 and left Sonoma to find adventure. She lived a happy life despite a serious auto accident in 1972. Patti lived and worked in many cities across the United States, always making friends along the way. In the late 1990s Patti returned to Sonoma to be near her parents.

Patti is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Fran Phillips; her brothers, Lanny Phillips and Dan Phillips, and Dan’s wife, Jacquie, and their children, Eric and Heidi; Patti’s four children – Sheri Wise and Karen Wise of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Cyndi Wise-Massey of Bryan, Texas, and Jeff Wise of Las Vegas, Nevada; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pat requested no memorial services. Private interment was held at the Valley Cemetery in Sonoma near her mother, father and her grandparents.
