Nellita Mae (West) Seabourne, a native of California, passed away on July 21, 2017, at the age of 96.
A one-time roller skating drive-in waitress, she was also a math whiz who worked at Lockheed Vega next to the Burbank Airport during World War II. She later became a self-made Bevery Hills real estate escrow vice president.
Nellita was loyal to her clan and was kind to animals and small children. She was many things – a New Age devotee, an astute businesswoman, a lover of Asian art, a fierce bridge player, and a green thumb who rototilled her own garden – but most of all, she was a one strong person who did it her way.
Her ashes are interred at Oakdale Memorial Park, Glendora, California, where her father, Ed West, and grandparents also have permanent resting places. She is survived by her daughter, Tomi Holt, grandson Weston Holt, and sister Ruth Elizabeth West.
