Nancy Marie Ambrose

In Sonoma, CA, February 25, 2018. Born in 1932, in San Francisco to Walter and Marie Craig.

In 2011, Mom was preceded in death by her adored husband of 57 years, William E. Ambrose. Mom to David (Sherie) and Marianne Ambrose Emerson (Lewis). Grandma Nancy to Craig Emerson (Nichole), Bryan Ambrose and Monica Ambrose. Aunt Nancy to numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom was a graduate of Star of the Sea Academy and St. Mary's College of Nursing. For over 20 years she was Nurse Nancy to students and professors at Hastings College of Law in the Student Health Service. Mom and Dad created their lives together and raised their family in San Francisco until 1984, when they moved to Sonoma.

The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional medical care provided by Dennis M. Verducci, M.D., the nurses and staff at the Skilled Nursing Facility at Sonoma Valley Hospital as well as the staff of Hospice by the Bay.

A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will be held, Friday, March 16, 2018, 11:00 a.m., at St. Leo's Catholic Church, 601 Agua Caliente Rd W, Sonoma CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mom's favorite charity, Carmelite Monastery of Cristo Rey, 721 Parker Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94118, or the Redwood Empire Food Bank.
