Margaret Cooper Obituary

Margann (McCarthy) Cooper

March 20, 1962- February 2, 2018

We would walk 500 miles and we would walk 500 miles more, ‘cause you know we’d walk a thousand miles if we could just see you tonight.  No words can describe the devastation we feel by the sudden loss of our beloved wife, mother, sister, cousin, and friend: Margaret Ann (McCarthy, Clementz) Cooper.  Her husband: James Cooper; her children: Sean (Ashley), Shayna (Ron), and Shelby Clementz, along with Crystal (Jake) Cooper and Gary (Kristina) Cooper; her grandchildren: Zoey Clementz and Jackson; her sister: Colleen (Linda) McCarthy; and hundreds of cousins and friends sent her off to heaven at sunset on February 2nd to be reunited with her parents: Thomas and Marilyn McCarthy; her brother: Kevin McCarthy; and the dozens of pets that she cared for over the years.

Known affectionately as Margee and Margann, she was a friend to all animals; she enjoyed gardening in the sunshine; and used her creativity to give beautiful, handmade gifts.  Margee lived a life of deep love and she shared her open heart often and with great courage.  She left behind a lot of red lipstick kisses in her wake and will be remembered for her “Sunday Night I Love You” messages that brought her love into many hearts on a frequent basis.

We invite you to share in the celebration of her life on February 17, 2018, at Bodega Bay Church at 12:00 PM, followed by a reception at McCaughey Hall in Bodega.  In lieu of flowers, we request that a donation be made in honor of her love of animals at Pets’ Lifeline and the ASPCA. We would love to thank the doctors and the nurses at the Kaiser Hospital in Santa Rosa for doing their work with great love in her service.

Thank you for loving us so deeply, Margee. We love you so much and we miss you every moment.  We will do our best to move forward by keeping our love of you inside our hearts, until we see you again, somewhere over the rainbow.
