Joyce Ann Griffith Davison departed for heaven's gates with her family by her side. She is survived by her four daughters, Erin Tracy George (Joe) of Sonoma, Jennifer Tracy Caesar (Gary) of Santa Barbara, Julie Tracy Samrick (Brian) of El Dorado Hills and Suzanne Tracy Ashimine (Jeremy) of Sonoma. She was a devoted grandmother to Jacquelyn and Nicholas George, Anabel, Kaed, Charlotte and Vivian Caesar, Will, Jack, Catherine and Natalie Samrick, and Hazel, Ruby and Violet Ashimine. She is also survived by her sister Joan Hergert, brother Robert Griffith as well as many nieces and nephews. Joyce was born in Detroit, Michigan to Jack and Dorothy Griffith. She graduated from Michigan State Universitywith a degree in early childhood education before heading west to California, where she would raise her family. She was a broker/ owner at Century 21 Diablo Valley Realty in Concord before beginning another successful real estate career in Sonoma, where she lived for the past 24 years. Joyce was a friend to all and known for her beautiful laugh and joie de vivre. She served as a lectern at her parish, was active with Guide Dogs for the Blind and was a volunteer for Hospice By the Bay, among her many passions and interests. Above all, Joyce loved her family and she will be forever missed. A Rosary Vigil will be held on March 6 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Francis Solano Church located at 469 3rd St. West in Sonoma. A funeral Mass will be said on March 7 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church with a reception to immediately follow.
