Oh Barb, I have been looking for you for years. Sad that I'm too late for us to go for coffee and " catch-up" ... I honestly don't know where I would be today if it wasn't for you and your kindness and trust. You are truly an inspiration ....say " hey" to the 2 redheads.... 🖐️😎💕

Lisa, Moira, and Joey,
Your mom was everybody's mom when we were growing up. I have wonderful childhood memories of her. She was so cool, so much fun, and always had an extra seat at the table for one more. I'm so sorry for your loss.

My most sincere condolences for your loss. When I heard from John on Sunday as I was out and about I felt sooo sad to hear of Barbara's passing. I recalled we just saw her at Casey's graduation party in SF. She will be dearly missed. She would call me and Johnny from time to time and would tell us she loved us. She had a kind soul and very sweet and caring. What I remember most about her was from the time I joined the Conneely family she accepted me instantly with open arms. Also, when we would get together at family gatherings; she would give me a big kiss and a big bear hug. I will miss her dearly!!

I'm very sorry to hear about Barbara's passing. She was always a great lady to meet and share time with.
She was a close friend of my cousin Nora from St. Anne's days and later in life. I remember they were
maids of honor in each other's weddings. When they meet in heaven they can reminiscence about the "good
old days."
It's always tough to lose a sibling but it's all part of God's plan for all of us. My prayers (and Joan's)
and thoughts are with you and the Conneely family at this time.
God bless Barbara and all the Conneelys.

Dudley - At a time like this, we all know what is in our hearts and we also know that it is impossible to put these feelings into words. The deep history that we share: Galway, The Sunset, seminary and family life - make us brothers, not in blood but in something even deeper.

The loss of a parent is one thing, but the loss of a brother or sister is much different......maybe because it makes us more aware of our own mortality.

Marge and I will not be able to join you and the family and friends to say goodbye to Barbara in Sonoma. This is our month in Arizona. Please pass alone our condolences to Barbara's family and especially to you, Charlie and Tommy.

I still have a clear memory of Barbara's wedding reception at the Fairmont.

Love, Pat and Marge

Dudley and Mary:

So sorry to hear this. I remember her coming to visit on Sundays with your family. I thought who is that pretty blond girl over at Conneely’s picnic. I still need to send you the pictures of you guys wrestling with your Dad on the front lawn.
I was glad to get a chance to meet Barbara at your 70th birthday party. All those years in Sonoma and I don’t think we ever connected. I know she helped a lot of people in the Sonoma area with the work she did. Trish and I will pray for her.
Warm Regards

Kirk and Trish

Dear Dudley, Lisa, Moira and Joey,

Thanks for sharing the sad news about your sister Barbara. I have fond memories of her with all of you. With four wild brothers, innately gifted in the art of banter, she had to have a good sense of humor and a sharp Irish wit. But she was no wilting flower. She defended herself ably, and I see the proud smile in her eyes when she did.

I'll remember her children and you, Charlie, Tom and your families, as well as Jack's family, in my prayer. May you find solace in remembering her strength and her good heart.

With love,

Dan Onorato

Dear Con and Family, how sad and sorry I am to learn about the death of your beloved sister Barbara. Though I met her briefly once years ago, I took away from that what a delightful and remarkable person she was, and I can only imagine that just as all the Conneelys, she was so special. And her loss is especially hard and sorrowful. Many of us your friends mourn for you around the country and the world, and we look forward to the prospect that she will indeed be joyfully rejoined with her son Sammy, husband Mike, your Mom and Dad and Jack. IN the meantime, warm hugs to you all. Kind regards,
David Brown

Dear Dudley,

I of course recall the grand assembly of Conneely's on the lawn on visiting Sunday in Mountain View, among whom, Barb was the oldest child.

But all I know about Barb is your admiration and fondness and love for her. So I realize from my own experience of losing two sisters--one a long time ago when I was 8 and she was 20; the other when she was 77 and I was 61--how powerful a loss like this is, especially when it is sudden.
I am so sorry for you and your family who can no longer feel her vital presence in quite the same way as just yesterday. I pray that each of you treasures the things Barb did and that in this way you continue to honor and make real her presence among us.

With love, your friend Ed

Dear Dudley, Lisa, Moira and Joey,

I'm so sorry about your sister, Barbara. You have my deepest sympathy at this difficult time
for you and your family. Barbara was such a sweet lady and always made us feel welcome
when we were with all of you Conneelys. I even felt that when I knew her when I was in grade school.
Being the oldest of all of you, she was such a wonderful big sister and friend. I'll say a prayer for her
and your entire family. I like this Irish grief poem and may these words be comforting.

An Irish Grief Poem for all of you.
May you see God's light on the path ahead,
When the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness
Never turn your heart to stone,
May you always remember
when the shadows fall--
You don not walk alone.

May the Good Lord be watching over all of you.
Love to all,
Colleen Kearns Eyman

To Barbara's loving family, Barbara was such a loving, gentle , warm and caring person. The loss of a Mother, Grandmother and Sister are so huge. I know she will be missed and she has left a great legacy to carry on for generations. May the road rise to meet her and the wind be ever at her back and may the Lord hold her in the palm of his hand. God bless and console you all. Much love, Patsy and Al
